Welcome to the application for online volunteer host organizations.

Registration of your organization as a Group

The "Group" is your organization's account on the Online Volunteering website. A "Group" can represent your entire organization, as in most cases for smaller NGOs, or a department or specific project of your organization, as is the case for many larger organizations.
The "Group" account is a requirement for host organizations to use the Online Volunteering service.

Eligibility criteria

Organizations receiving the support of online volunteers via the Online Volunteering service are:

• Non-profit (civil society organizations, academic/educational institutions, UN agencies and international organizations, government institutions)
• Officially registered in their country of origin
• Currently active and operational, with projects for the benefit of developing countries and with a clear commitment to the goals of sustainable human development
• Non-discriminatory and in alignment with the principles and Charter of the United Nations.

Required preparation before application

Before you start the group application process, please ensure you have the following data at hand:

• Contact information and description of your organization's mission and activities
• Copy of official registration certificate and registration number (for non-NGOs other evidence of your agency's legitimacy and non-profit status)
• Contact details of two references external to your organisation
• Information on any affiliations with umbrella organizations (if applicable)

Page 2: Contact information / Mission statement
Page 3: Group Verification (Background information, references, and registration certificate upload).

Screening of your organization's application.
If the required information is complete and your organization is found to operate in accordance with the Online Volunteering criteria, your organization's profile is published in the Online Volunteering site and you get access to the set of Online Volunteering tools in your My Group page (= your organization's account), which is linked from your My OV page (= your personal account).
